identification: Medium size, Round to conic shape. The base colour is green over which there is a maroon wash on the sun exposed surface and darker striping. The eye is partly closed and medium size, stin in a shallow and small basin which is usually surrounded by a large patch of brown russet. The stem is long and medium thick, set in a deep and very narrow, russeted cavity.
characteristics: The flesh is cream coloured, firm and crisp. Juicy, sweet, somewhat tart and quite aromatic, flavourful. Keeps four months in cold storage.
