identification: Medium size and ovate. The skin is green maturing to yellow. Numerous light coloured lenticels. The eye is medium size and partly open, set in a deep and narrow basin. The stem is medium length to short, somewhat stout and set in a deep andnarrow cavity which is russeted with rays radiating out onto and over the shoulder.
characteristics: The flesh is white, firm. Sweet, aromatic. Keeps three months in cold storage.

origins: NFC: A chance seedling grown in the Modenese, Italy. Described in 1949 but thought to be much older
cultivation: Moderately vigorous. Partial tip bearer. Ready for harvest in the last half of the FOURTH period.
