identification: Medium tending to large. Conic and irregular. The skin colour is green with a brick red flush on the sun exposed face. The eye is partly open and small, set in a somewhat deep and narrow basin. The stem is short and stout, set in a deep and narrow cavity with a brown russet radiating up onto the shoulder.
characteristics: The flesh is yellowish white, firm and crisp. Sharp and fruity. Keeps four months in cold storage.

origins: nfc: Thought to have originated in Sicily, Italy. Received by the National Fruit Trials in 1958.
cultivation: Vigorous, upright tree. Ready for harvest in the middle of the FOURTH period.
