identification: Largeand smooth. Conic. The base colour is yellow, but washed over at least half the surface with a bright red wash and a pattern of broken stripes that extends onto the shaded face. The eye is small and open, set in a shallow and small basin which is surrounded by a lightly knobbed crown. The stem is medium to long and slender, set in a funnel shaped cavity which can be slightly russeted.
characteristics: The flesh is pale cream coloured, firm and crisp. Juicy, sweet?sharp and flavourful. Keeps three months in cold storage.

cultivation: Moderately vigorous, upright spreading tree. Spur bearer. Ready for harvest in the first half of the FOURTH period.
