Lady Hopetown
identification: Medium size. Round and flattened, with angular sides and often irregular shape. The base colour is green which is blushed a pale copper colour around the eye. The eye is small and partly open in a shallow and open, puckered basin. The stem is short and stout, set in a somewhat shallow and narrow cavity. Small dark lenticels are sparsely scattered over the surface.
characteristics: The flesh is white, firm and crisp with a sharp, fruity flavour. Keeps two months in cold storage.
cultivation: Ready for harvest in the middle of the FOURTH period.
