identification: Small tending to medium. Round conic. The base colour is green washed red on the sun exposed face. The eye is small and closed, set in a somewhat shallow and puckered cavity. The stem is long and slender, set in a deep and somewhat narrow cavity, which is russeted with rays extending over the shoulder onto the faces.
characteristics: The flesh is cream-coloured, coarse-grained and crisp. Sweet and brisk. Keeps four months in cold storage.
uses: Dessert and cooking.
origins: received by the National Fruit Trials in 1950 from Angers, France
cultivation: Vigorous. Ready for harvest in the last half of the FOURTH period.
