identification: Medium size, round and flattened. Five prominent angles. The skin is lemon coloured over which are dark mahogany, broken stripes, slightly lighter on the shaded face. The stalk is medium long and thickest at the base, set in a deep, wide cavity which is lightly russeted.
characteristics: The flesh is white, crisp, juicy. Sweet tart.
uses: Cooking apple.
origins: is much grown in the orchards of Worcestershire
