identification: Medium, flat. The base colour is bright greenish yellow, over which is a pink-red blush and darker red, broken stripes on the sun exposed face. The eye is large and open, set in a wide and shallow basin. The stem is long and moderately slender, set in a deep, funnel shaped and lightly russeted cavity.
characteristics: The flesh is cream coloured, fine-grained and firm. Moderately juicy and very tart when first picked but mellowing in storage. becoming sweet with rich flavours. Keeps five months in cold storage.
