identification: Large. Round. The base colour is is pale green over which is a bright red almost maroon wash that covers all but the fully shaded surfaces. Light coloured lenticels. The stem is mediun length and somewhat slender, set in a narrow and rather deep cavity which is russeted with rays often extending out onto the shoulder.
characteristics: The flesh is cream-coloured and soft. Very juicy and sweet.

cultivation: Moderately vigorous, upright spreading, spur bearer. Ready for harvest during the first half of FOURTH period.
vulnerabilities: VEry susceptible to mildew and blight. Also prone to bitter pit.
