identification: Small to medium size. Round to slightly conic. Thick skin. The base colour is greenish-yellow over which is a dense pattern of red streaks which is most prominent on the sun-exposed face, marked with light coloured, russetted lenticels.
origins: Originated in Czechoslovakia as a cross of
Spartan and PRI 370-15. Released in 1985.
cultivation: Moderate vigour on its own roots, developing domed crowns. Spur bearer. Precocious. Bears heavy harvests annually.

cold storage: Keeps up to five months in storage.
vulnerabilities: Bred for genetic resistance to scab. Slightly susceptible to mildew.
harvest: Late in the fourth period. Premature fruit drop can be a problem.
