Jean Tondeur
identification: Medium tending to large size. Flattened at both ends and often irregular. The skin base colour is straw yellow washed bright red and covered with russet patches on the sun exposed face and around the stem cavity. The eye is medium size, closed or semi closed and set in a wide and shallow, lightly puckered basin. The stem is long and set in a wide cavity.
characteristics: The flesh is yellowish, firm, crunchy. Juicy, sweet and a refreshingly tart, with a fruity flavour. Keeps three months in cold storage.
