Improved Lambrook Pippin

identification: Small to medium. Round to round conic. Yellow base colour, washed red and marked with a dense pattern of darker stripes on the sun-exposed face. The calyx is medium large and open, set in a shallow and wide basin. The stem is very long and slender, set in a deep and funnel-shaped, russetted cavity.
characteristics: The flesh is cream-coloured. Sharp.
uses: Mild sharp cider apple. Also used for juice.
origins: A seedling of
Lambrook Pippin that was found near the village of Lambrook at South Somerset (U.K.).
