identification: Small to medium. Round conic. The base colour is green over which is a patch of dull orange on the sun exposed face, Small, light coloured dots are barely visible against the green background, but evident on the blush. The eye is medium size and partly open, set in a shallow and narrow, puckered basin. The stem is very short and medium thick, set in a shallow, russeted cavity.

uses: While the Saulette is a cider apple, this sport is primarily used in cooking. It makes a tart, fruity apple sauce.
