RF: Niedzwetzkyana's Apple in the 1930s at the Central Experimental Farm in Ottawa, Ontario (Canada) in collaboration with Isabella Preston of the New York State Agricultural Research Station. A seedling of Niedzweckyana.

cold storage: Keeps about a month in cold storage.
vulnerabilities: Resistant to scab. Susceptible to fire blight.
