identification: Large, round. The base colour is yellow Golden yellow to pale orange, marked with broken stripes. The stem is long and slender, set in a moderately deep, narrow cavity. The calyx is set in a shallow basin.
characteristics: The flesh is white, fine-grained, firm. Very dry and sweet with a bitter after-taste. Browns quickly on exposure to air.
origins: Originated in the Pays de Caux of Normandy (France) and propagated by Lacaille during the late 1800s.
harvest: Ready for harvest in the middle of the fourth period.
juice character: Rich amber colour.
