Identification: Very small, round conic. Base colour is pale green over which is a rough, bronze russet. The stem is short and medium stout, set in a narrow and shallow cavity. The calyx is small, tightly closed and set in a shallow and wide basin.

Characteristics: The flesh is white, sometimes greenish. Fine-grained. Dry, tannic, not edible.

Origins: Discovered 1930 at Max Bazzanella Nursery in Mineral, Virginia (U.S.A.). Introduced in 1947
