identification: Medium, sometimes large. Conic. Smooth. Flushed and striped.
characteristics: The flesh is chewy. Sweet and richly flavoured.
origins: This variety was sent to the National Fruit Collection, UK in 1937 by Fred Streeter, Head Gardener ot Petworth House, Sussex. It may possibly be the ancient Sussex Duck’s Bill apple.
cultivation: Moderately vigorous, upright spreading spur bearer. Ripens in the early half of the THIRD period.
