origins: A cross of Golden Spur Auvil with Stark's Earliest developed at the Delbard Pépinières International at Malicorne, in the Allier Department of central France and released in 1995. The nursery was founded by Georges Delbard in the mid-1900s and continued by his sons since the late 1900s; the focus of its apple breeding programme has been to develop disease-resistant cultivars.
