identification: Medium size, round. The base colour is yellow blushed deep red on the sun exposed face. Marked with abundant russet lenticels. The calyx is set in a wide and shallow basin.
characteristics: The flesh is white firm. Juicy and very sweet with a touch of tartness.
origins: A cross of Fuji with an experimental varietal (X3174), developed by apple breeder Davodeau Ligonniere at Dalival Nurseries in Angeres (France).
cultivation: Highly vigorous. Well suited to farm-gate sales and hobby orchards. Produces best yields every other year.
