identification: Large. Round and flat, sometimes conic and lop sided. Skin colour is greenish yellow, washed pink on the sun exposed face over which are red stripes.The eye is open or more than half open, set in a wide and deep basin withich is often puckered and faintly crowned.
characteristics: The flesh is yellowish, fine grained and soft. Juicy, sweet, slightly tart, fruity and aromatic. The flavour develops after a month in storage and it keeps up to three months in a cool room.
uses: A good dessert apple which can also b used for making juice and for cooking. Makes a great apple crumble.
