identification: Very large, round flattened. Green base colour washed orange on the sun exposed face and striped red, marked with russet lenticels. The eye is open set in a wide and shallow basin. The stem is short and stout. Character of the
origins: Seedling trees which were grown from pips to be top grafted with desired varieties. In some cases the grafts did take and developed large apples which were named for the Tower of Babel.
