identification: Small, round and flat. Skin base colour is pale green maturing to yellow with a blush of red on the sun? exposed face. The stem is short and set in a wide and deep, russeted cavity. A large and slightly opened eye is set in a shallow basin which often shows faint ribbing.
characteristics: The flesh is greenish, tender, crisp and very juicy. Sweet and slightly tart, giving it a brisk flavour.
origins: Grown extensively around Paris at one time.
cultivation: Moderately vigorous, upright spreading spur bearer. Produces heavy crops annually. Hardy. Ripens in the latter half of the OCTOBER period.
