identification: Medium tending to large and distinctly pear shaped with a discernable waist. The base colour is yellowish red over which there is a solid deep red wash on the sun exposed face. Abundant, light coloured lenticels are strewn across the red. The calyx is small and open set in a narrow basin which is surrounded by a pronounced, knobbed crown. The stem is short and stout, set in a moderately deep and open cavity.
characteristics: very sweet and tend to have a tough skin
origins: Developed at Japan's Aomori Apple Research Station from a Toko crossed with Richared Delicious. Released in 1970.
harvest: Ready for harvest in the latter part of the third period.
