identification: Small round-conic, frequently asymmetric. The base colour is yellow over which is a red wash marked with darker stripes. Some russet, particularly at the stem cavity. The stem is somewhat short and set at an angle in the cavity. The calyx is small and set in a shallow, pleated basin which is surrounded by a faintly knobbed crown.
characteristics: The flesh is faint greenish. Tender. Juicy, sweet with bitter undertones and flavourful.
origins: Originated in the Rance maritime in the Cotes d'Armor
cultivation: Vigorous, upright tree. Produces annual crops.
cold storage: Does not keep well.
