The calyx is large and can be open or closed, set in a wide and deep basin. The stem is usually short and stout, sometimes slender.
characteristics: The flesh is yellowish and firm. Juicy and bitter. The must can be pale or deeply coloured.
origins: Little is known about this cultivar's origins, though it has been grown in the Normandy region of France for several centuries.
