identification: Small, round and flattened. The skin base colour is orange which is almost entirely covered with bright red, streaked with dark crimson. Just a patch of base colour shows through on the shaded face. The calyx is small and partly open, set in a shallow and wide basin. The stem cavity is russetted. The stem is long, slender and set in a shallow, russetted cavity.
characteristics: Flesh is creamy yellowish, tender and sweet. Juicy and pleasantly aromatic.
uses: Rated as a dessert apple, partly for its flavours and partly for its handsome appearance.
cultivation: Ripens early in the second period.
cold storage: Keeps up to two months.
