identification: Medium size, round. The base colour is greenish yellow which is entirely or almost entire washed deep red, and marked with small, tan coloured lenticels. The surface is smooth and develops a waxy feel as the fruit begins to ripen. The stem is medium length, extending even to the crown, moderately stout and knobbed at the end, set in a deep and narrow, russetted cavity.
characteristics: Slight yellowish tinge. Crisp. Juicy, sweet-tart. Brix 14.0
uses: A good fresh eating apple.
origins: Developed in Japan by S. Kudo, a private sector grower. Senshu crossed with Fuji. Released in 1996.

ploidism: Diploid. Self sterile.
