identification: Medium to large. Round conic. Golden yellow, marked with small dark lenticels and lightly blushed on the sun exposed face. The stem is thing, long and set in a deep, narrow cavity which is usually russetted. The eye is medium size and partly closed, set in a wide, shallow basin which is often puckered and faintly crowned.
characteristics: The flesh is yellowish, melting. Juicy and sweet, very aromatic.
origins: Originated in the Hautes Alpes region of southeastern France. Primarily grown by hobby orchardists of the region nowadays.
