identification: Medium size. Round. Green base colour over which are prominent stripes of bright red, particularly on the sun exposed face. The stem is medium long and medium thick, set in a deep, somewhat russetted cavity. The calyx is medium size, closed and set in a shallow basin.
characteristics: Crisp, juicy and moderately sweet. Mild.

origins: Shepparton West, Victoria (Australia) 1940s. Seedling of Jonathan.
cultivation: Pronounced tendency to produce fruit every other year. Well suited to espalier.
