identification: Large, ovate and quite broad, flat at the base, angular with a ribbed crown. The skin is greenish yellow flushed red and marked with darker red, broken streaks on the sun exposed face and covered with a thin russet coat. Large russet lenticels. The stem is short and set in a deep, russet lined cavity.
characteristics: The flesh is yellowish, firm and crisp. Juicy, sweet and brisk. Keeps two months in cold storage.
uses: A good eating and cooking apple.
