identification: Medium size. Pronounced conical shape almost coming to a point. Rounding but frequently irregular in shape. Ribs are prominent. Skin base colour is greenish yellow with a crimson flush that covers three quarters of the apple and bright red stripes. Occasionally russet patches.
characteristics: The flesh is pale cream, soft and sweet. aromatic.
uses: A cooking apple, not highly regarded
origins: Crimson Queening apple was first recorded in 1831 but thought to be much older.UK Hereforshire.
